Migration from cobby version 1.0 to cobby 2.0

For Magento 1

In this tutorial you will learn how to update your current cobby version to cobby 2.0 if you use Magento 1 as shop system.

In order to install cobby 2.0, you have to uninstall the cobby 1.0 extension via FTP or from your agency. How exactly you can uninstall the extension via FTP, you can read here:

  1. Log in with your FTP credentials. Tip: One of the best free FTP tools for the process is Filezilla.
  2. In the /html folder under app/etc/modules/Mash2_Cobby.xml you can delete the file.

  1. Now install the cobby 2.0 extension. This can be downloaded from the public repo: https://github.com/cobbyio/cobby-connector-magento. Detailed instructions can be found here.
  2. If the cobby 2.0 extension was successfully installed, the shop must be reconnected in the portal.
  3. To reconnect the shop, proceed as follows, if your credentials have not changed: Shop → Magento 1 (1) → Edit (2) → Save (3).

For Magento 2

This guide describes the migration process for users who use Magento 2 as shop system.

To be able to install cobby 2.0, the cobby 1.0 extension must first be removed by your agency. Also the installation of the cobby 2.0 extension should be done by your agency.

The link for the current Magento 2 extension is available in cobby-connector-magento2.

Important: The store must be reconnected so that the extension is correctly deposited. Here the following step is necessary: Shop → Magento 2 (1) → Edit (2) → Save (3).

Note

It is possible that new tables are not created because the cobby entry is already contained in the core_resource table. This must be removed before activating the new cobby extension.
