Removal tool for the cobby excel add-in

If you want to completely remove the cobby add-in for Excel including its configuration files and registry settings, you can uninstall the add-in via "Programs and Features". However, when you reinstall it, your old settings will still apply.

This can become a problem for you in the following cases if you:

  • switch between your stores running on different versions of cobby.
  • get a troubleshooting for the local installation.
  • you have been downgraded in cobby.
  • switch between your store and the cobby demo store.

For these scenarios we have created a removal tool that you can download here.

Important: Run the tool as administrator.

Start this batch script in the context of the user for whom cobby is installed. No advanced rights are required.

The script will:

  • force closing all accessible instances of Excel.
  • uninstall the Excel add-in.
  • clean the registry path used by click-once installers.
  • remove the configuration files for cobby.

To reinstall the cobby add-in for Excel afterwards, look for a message titled "Registration successful" or "Registration erfolgreich" from info@cobby.io in your emails. Start the installer via the link in this email. Alternatively, you can also download cobby from our customer center.
