Saving products takes unusually long

There are a few scenarios that can lead to a seemingly sluggish product upload when saving products, which are not caused by cobby:

1. Major changes

A lot of changes in the product data ensure that Magento has to process them in large chunks. This process takes time to fully process all the changes.

2. The index is triggered

Changes to some product attributes may cause the corresponding index to be triggered for each product. This takes a long time. But there is a workaround for this: set the affected index to manual mode and run the import. When you are done, reset it to refresh on save and re-index it. Note: This behavior only occurs up to cobby version 1.46.

3. Use of Varnish

If your store uses Varnish, it can take up to 20 minutes for product changes to complete in Magento so that cobby can export the changes. You can eliminate this effect with a cobby setting: Things to consider when Varnish is used.
